That’s Not Something…

That moment when you are on your way to a 4th of July party, jamming out in the car to one of your new (unreleased) songs, when you are suddenly overcome with emotion and start bawling like a baby and your husband pretends not to notice.   

That moment when you have had a smile perpetually plastered on your face for so many days in a row that you hope it returns to normal.

Ken and I just finished a tour of the Jack Daniel Distillery which included six samples of whiskey. (If you know me at all, you know I don’t normally drink.) We are now headed to a co-write. My lips are still a bit numb and I’m a tad giggly. Methinks there is another happy song […]

I don’t feel like wearing a mask for five hours. Nonstop eating it is.

Thank you to Jesus Freak Hideout for featuring me on their blog. I love their slogan, “Where the staff and artists speak their minds.” Most singers/songwriters write one song to tell their story. I guess I’m long-winded and needed three songs to tell mine.

I’ve got my music and my lucky bear socks. What more do I need out of life? I’m going into the studio now and will be there all day, y’all.

I keep falling asleep during the playback of my latest composition; either my song is super boring, or I’m spending way too many hours on this thing.

What it was supposed  to say: “Oops, just one last question about the myrrh: how often do I do that?”

My daughter shared a link to my first song release a few days ago. Should I tell her that her inheritance will most likely come to $.04?
