I had a goal of walking 125,000 steps on our trip to Maui. I wore Chacos, flip flops, and hiking boots. Sometimes I was in shorts and a tank top, sometimes a bathing suit, and sometimes a dress. I did 153,161 steps for the simple fact that there were so many beautiful places to see.

I’ve talked before (several times) about what a lucky ducky I am. We are headed to Maui. Good times ahead.

I should be outside admiring my pretty flowers in the sunshine instead of slipping into a Jelly-Belly hangover nap on this fine Sunday afternoon.

Ran into a little hiccup planting my commemorative tree. But, Ken and I persevered and got it in the ground. Now to sit back and enjoy watching my long-coveted Alaska cedar (“Weeping Alaskan Blue Cedar” according to the tag) grow as I celebrate another 15 years of being cancer-free.

So, about that Alaska cedar I mentioned in my last post: it is now sitting in a wheelbarrow in my back yard, waiting for me. Guess I better start digging.

I wanted to mark my “15 years cancer-free” by going to Christianson’s Nursery and buying a huge Alaska cedar which I’ve always wanted.
