Behind the Scenes: Washington

I’m not gonna lie: this latest song I’ve been working on kicked my bahookie. Three days and nights of minimal sleep, frenzied writing, only one instance of sobbing, and it’s done. I’m not sure if I should throw a party, or slip into a coma.

That awkward moment when you’re in the hot tub first thing in the morning…ahem…buck naked, and the lyrics that eluded you while you were composing into the wee hours of the morning (instead of sleeping like a normal human) suddenly pop into your head.

Starting my birthday out right… composing at one o’clock in the morning. It doesn’t get much better than that.
