I was in the middle of teaching a piano lesson to sibling number two (out of three) when my left hand, wrist, and arm started hurting so bad that I could not concentrate on a thing.
I took my Fitbit off and tried to ignore the pain.
Finally, I told the mother, “Ummmm, something is wrong with my left arm. I think I’m having a reaction to the blood draw I had this morning–they had to take it out of my hand–or I’m having a stroke or heart attack or something.”
I told my student, “I’m sorry, sweetie. This is what you get for taking lessons from an old lady.”
