Spontaneous Co-write

I had started a song back on January 3 (as we know that seems to be the month when I’m most prolific in my songwriting, for some reason). I had eight measures of a pretty intro and there the song sat.

Enter Katie. She came to hang out with me tonight. We somehow ended up by my keyboard and I played her the measures I had written just for funsies. She said, “You’re so good at songwriting. I don’t know how to do that.”

I swear: it only took a few seconds after she made this proclamation and off she started singing. She sang four lines of music without hesitation. I grabbed my phone and recorded her singing it again.

I knew instantly that she had just sung the bridge of the song. It looks like I have another co-write on my hands.
