Cover Song

I was on praise team with this cutie-patootie Sunday morning. She nailed “Noel” by Chris Tomlin, Ed Cash, and Matt Redman. Her rendition was so beautiful, I got choked up halfway through which was a bit of a problem because I was playing the piano and had visions of sobbing hysterically and losing my spot in the music.

While we were warming up at the practice, I played about eight measures of a song that I love. Megan ran over to me. “Oh, that song just gets me in my soul.” I knew exactly what she meant.

This morning, she sent me a short recording of herself singing and harmonizing that same song.

I texted her back within minutes. “Oh my goodness!! I have major, like MAJOR goosebumps. You have such a gift, my friend! Let’s record it! I’ve never done a cover before.😉”
