That’s Not Something You Read Every Day #4

July 24, 2024

Behind those trees somewhere is the Steamboat Geyser.

According to the signs we saw, this geyser is the “world’s tallest active geyser.” It has “unpredictable, infrequent major eruptions of more than 300 feet,” and it erupts “every three days or fifty years.” 😳

That’s quite the spread there. Every three days or fifty years.

Apparently, it last erupted on July 15. Darn. We should have planned our trip ten days earlier. 😂
