First a nurse drops this food off and reassures me it’s okay to eat it.
I don’t get a chance to eat it because I’m on the phone with Dr. C who has called me from home to apologize that the one test she wanted done cannot be done on the weekends.
While I’m on the phone with Dr. C (and my food is getting cold ), Dr. A walks in (because he’s on call). Oopsies. He’s the one I wanted to replace because he never called me back after the colonoscopy. Awkward.
He explained that my bilirubin is extremely high and he suspects a stone has dislodged from my gallbladder and is now blocking uh….I forget what he said…common bile duct? Give me a break: I only got one hour of sleep.
I have an MRCP scheduled for one o’clock. As you may know, I’m not a fan of the MRI-type machines because of my extreme claustrophobia. I’ve already requested to be put under.
After Doc A leaves, two nurses come in and whisk my (untouched) food away, the meanyheads.
