What? I could have bought a baby weeping Alaskan cedar for 29 bucks (instead of $100) to celebrate 15 years out since my cancer diagnosis? A. This is the yellow variety and I wanted the blue one. B. By the time this slow-growing tree reaches maturity, I will be dead.

That moment when your demo-singer gets sidetracked by your finger puppet “Gus Grumpypants” that you use as a teaching tool for your piano students and you both get the major giggles.

Okay, I better not release any more songs at the moment. I’ve celebrated with pizza, Milk Duds, Thai food, an introduction to sticky rice, and ice cream. I am going to gain 20 pounds. 

I just fell asleep working on some lyrics to a new song. Either they are super boring, or my brain shorted out from thinking too hard over the past hour.  

I don’t know… I think my chorus might need some work.

Yesterday, a friend took me out for some birthday shenanigans. We ended up at WinCo. I stood in front of the marshmallows for about ten seconds and then I high-tailed it out of the aisle, because, well…I have a bit of a problem with self-control.
