Remember that day I was stuck with the Roland keyboard during my last trip here to Nashville? Well, I started composing on that thing and had the main gist of the song done in one hour. (It helped that I “recycled” some instrumental music from a long time ago—one of the only ones I could remember by heart as memorization is not my forté.)
Ten minutes into the recording session yesterday, I was already crying: great big tears of happiness. I promised y’all a happy song (after my three gut-wrenching ones) and this is definitely it.
I hired a new singer for this project—her name is Jess—and she did a fantastic job.
Ken, my faithful sidekick (and the guy who funds all my dreams hee hee) had just as much fun as I did. When the producer took out his electric guitar and played a really cool riff, Ken had a look of pure bliss on his face.
We were in the studio until midnight and Ken had to peel me off the ceiling when we were done.
